Daily routines
Every day, we walk around the playland to inspect and document our attractions and play areas. We have a meticulously designed process where each inspection of all attractions is logged with a QR reader. Daily, there is a fire safety officer on site. We also have a shift leader responsible for ensuring rounds are conducted in the playland. Each day, we check:
- That all attractions are safe (documented via QR code)
- That there are clear evacuation routes inside and outside
- That emergency lighting is functioning
- That evacuation signs are operational
Weekly Routines
Every week, we inspect and document:
- An in-depth check of the play equipment
- That machines are intact and clean
Monthly routines
Every month, we inspect and document:
- Doors
- Clear evacuation routes inside and outside
- Lamps and fluorescent lights
- Emergency lighting
- Machines are intact and clean
- Cleanliness around the building
- Evacuation signs are intact and in place
- First aid equipment/supplies
- Automatic fire alarm system
Quarterly Routines
Every quarter, the automatic fire alarm system is also checked.
Annual Routines
Every year, we have an inspection by an external independent inspector who assesses safety according to standard EN1176 and helps us identify, prevent, and eliminate potential risks. Each year, we also check:
- Functionality of the panic alarm
- Hand-operated fire extinguishers
- Functionality of the burglar alarm
- Review inspection of the fire alarm system
- Accident training
- Practical fire training with children
Fire Procedures
Our staff is trained in fire safety, i.e., how evacuation should be conducted in the playland. All playlands have a fire drill once a year. The functionality of the fire alarm is tested regularly. We also conduct annual fire training, where staff learn how to handle fire extinguishing and evacuation. We also have annual training in CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
